I’m Cherukuri Gaurav Sushant, a software engineer building at the intersection of AI, backend systems, and full-stack product development. My story started with data and research, grew through security and cloud systems, and now lives in building intelligent products that are both technically strong and genuinely useful.

The Story

I like building systems where intelligence meets execution.

What excites me most is taking something ambitious, an AI workflow, a backend platform, a product idea, and shaping it into something structured, performant, and ready for real users.

I’ve worked across research labs, internships, freelance projects, and product teams, which taught me how to move from experimentation to production with confidence. I’m currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Computational Modeling and Simulation at Technische Universität Dresden, where I’m deepening my interest in scientific computing, edge intelligence, and performance-aware systems.

Why This Journey Matters

Each step added a different layer to how I build.

Research taught me rigor. Security taught me reliability. Data engineering taught me systems thinking. Product work taught me how to build for people, not just for technical correctness. Today, those layers come together in the AI and software systems I build.

Started with curiosity

I began by exploring data science, machine learning, and the fundamentals of software systems, building a strong base in how intelligent systems are trained, evaluated, and applied.

Internships in cybersecurity, research, and data engineering pushed me beyond theory and into performance, reliability, large-scale workflows, and production constraints.

Moved into product building

That foundation naturally led me into full-stack and backend work, where I could combine intelligent features, APIs, cloud deployment, and user-facing experiences into complete products.

Helped shape an AI-assisted infrastructure platform by building the core FastAPI and React experience for Terraform workflow creation, configuration, and execution.

Designed major parts of the platform architecture, integrated LangChain-powered Terraform generation, and connected GitHub for smoother version control and workflow management.
